A crown is for a single tooth. It goes over a tooth, covering it completely. For a fractured or unattractive tooth, or an implant that is in place of a tooth, it can improve the color, shape, alignment, and functionality. It is a good way to make a tooth appear normal, healthy, and attractive once again. It goes beyond appearance, too. Crowns can protect a broken or unhealthy tooth, as well as protect the rest of your oral health. Damaged teeth can lead to disease and decay across the entire mouth, and a crown is an effective repair.

What is a bridge used for?
Bridges are similar to crowns, but they cover multiple teeth. For gaps in teeth, such as large gaps between individual teeth or a missing tooth, this is the most effective option. It will cover the missing teeth, as well as multiple damaged teeth, to repair their appearance. All teeth covered by a bridge will have a natural appearance to them. Beyond appearance, it also reduces the risk of disease, decay, and alignment issues that come from missing teeth. It is a necessary part of maintaining good oral health when several teeth have noticeable issues or when you have a gap from a missing tooth.
